Going the Distance: 60 Consecutive Hours to Support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

At Palmer Johnson Power Systems, we believe in pushing limits—not just in our industry but also in how we give back. This past week, our team took on a 60-consecutive-hour Employee Relay to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), and we’re beyond proud to share that we exceeded our $6,000 goal—raising an incredible $8,460!
How We Made It Happen
The challenge was simple but ambitious: keep moving for 60 straight hours. Employees signed up for 30-minute exercise shifts, each representing a $40 donation—with many choosing to donate even more. From walking and running to cycling and weightlifting, our team found creative ways to keep the momentum going.
This wasn’t just a fundraiser; it was a true team effort. Employees from all departments joined in, covering early mornings, workday shifts, and even late-night slots to keep the streak alive. Some even went the extra mile—literally—by adding extra time and donations.
Keeping It Fun & Building Community
What made this event truly special was how it brought our team together. We encouraged participants to share photos and videos, and the responses were amazing! From moonlight walks to jogging with chickens, we saw it all. The dedication of those who took on the overnight shifts was especially inspiring.
This event was about more than just raising money—it was about raising awareness and showing what’s possible when a team unites for a cause.
Why We Support LLS
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society funds blood cancer research, supports patients, and advocates for life-saving treatments. Their work changes lives, and we’re honored to play a small part in helping them advance their mission.
A Huge Thank You
We couldn’t have done this without the enthusiasm and generosity of our employees! This is what teamwork looks like at PJ. We don’t just work hard—we give back, we support each other, and we go the extra mile.
