What Information is Needed When Updating a Pump Drive or Gearbox Application
Austin discusses what information is needed when replacing a hydraulic pump drive or gearbox with a new one. The easiest way to begin this process is to email us pictures of the spec tag on the existing unit.
If the spec tag is missing, below is the information we will need to provide a quote for a replacement unit.
Below you can find the needed information, along with individual links to videos that show you how to measure the various SAE measurements that were discussed.
Needed Information:
- Engine HP
- Engine RPM
- What is the application?
- How many hours/day will the unit be in use?
- Required ratio (if unsure, provide the tooth counts of the input & output gears)
- Dipstick, yes or no?
- If yes, how is it mounted? LH, RH or center mount?
- Pump drive mounting position
- How many output pads?
Input Information:
- What input style?
- If it’s a clutch or drive plate input:
- If it’s a clutch:
- Provide the casting number of the hub & backplate
- If it’s a keyed shaft, what is the shaft diameter size?
For each output location:
Quantity & When You Need it:
- How many pump drives are you needing now?
- How quickly do you need the pump drives?
