Who is Tyler:
Tyler Ubinger is a Wisconsin native and has been an electromechanical service technician for over 15 years. He enjoys being active and outdoors. Over the last few years he has taken up endurance racing and that has all lead to his entry into the 2017 Tour Divide Race. Tyler will start on June 9th, 2017 with the goal to finish the race in 25 days.
What is the Tour Divide Race:
The Tour Divide Race is a self-supported (no checkpoints or chase team) race that follows the geographic continental divide. The race covers over 2,750 miles and gains over 200,000 feet of vertical gain. That is equivalent to climbing Mount Everest seven times!
Why is he riding:
Tyler hopes to inspire people young and old to live a healthy active lifestyle while raising funds for the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County. It will also challenge his endurance, self-reliance and mental toughness.
40 Years - $40K:
To celebrate our 40 Year Anniversary, Palmer Johnson is working to raise $40,000 for Boys & Girls Club.
Training:
Training at Monkey Bar Gym and pounding out big miles and hills on the bicycle on weekends.
